About Sarah Hegarty Chess Club:
We pride ourselves on the highest standards and ensure all out classes are engaging, fun, and tailored to the students. We happily take on complete beginners through to players competing for International championships and ensure each child gets the most of the experience.We use physical and digital materials.
If they wish, children will be enrolled in individual and team competitions such as the Delancey UK Chess Challenge, the EPSCA national primary schools chess championships and AJIS chess championships.
About the teachers:
Sarah Longson (nee Hegarty). Former British Ladies Champion and regular member of the English Olympiad teams. I have been teaching chess to children for over 10 years and have taught British and European champions.
Daniel Lee – I have played the game of chess since a very early age, taking it more seriously whilst studying at University, playing in tournaments. I have been a member of the Chorlton chess club for many years. For the last few years I have worked as a tutor for a children’s chess group in Altrincham recently becoming a chess coach for Sarah.
